Arts & Cultural Education for Children

This program serves 120 children from Bobo-Dioulasso’s primary and secondary schools through weekly performing arts workshops: storytelling, theater, dance, music, craft, and acrobatics, taught to international professional standards. Alongside the arts training, students take part in weekly civic engagement workshops covering road safety, first aid, hygiene, and environmental awareness. The program builds toward an original end-of-year performance created entirely by the students, and includes monthly educational field trips to cultural and historic sites around the region.

Professional Development for Teaching Artists

Seven professional artists from the Guiriko region take part in an intensive pedagogy training, learning to teach performing and applied arts to children under the guidance of Burkinabè and American experts in arts education, child development, and psychology. The program gives these artists stable employment, strengthens their teaching and professional skills to international standards, and helps grow the region’s cultural economy by expanding formal career opportunities for artists.

Cultural Administration Internships

Two cultural administrators and two university students are trained in project writing, communication, and cultural project management. The program combines hands-on internship experience in cultural administration, communications, video editing, and web writing, building practical career skills for the next generation of cultural administrators in Burkina Faso.
